Marketing & Merchandise Coordinator for WIFF

The Windsor International Film Festival (WIFF) is a cultural, charitable organization that celebrates the art of film.

As the Marketing & Merchandise Coordinator, I was a part of the Marketing Committee to collaborate on marketing and merchandising initiatives. I was responsible for: participating in meetings; organizing and representing WIFF during outreach events that promoted the festival to the community; conducting inventory count and analyzing past sales to create an inventory and sales report with recommendations; researching, cost-comparing, and contacting suppliers for atmospherics; collecting and managing digital assets for the preparation of the program book; budgeting, ordering, and managing the merchandise inventory; photographing, editing, and creating text for the online merchandise store page; designing and planning the merch shop at the box office; assisting patrons with any questions about the festival and completing sale transactions; training volunteers to manage the merchandise booth; coordinating live music events; and greeting musical guests; conducting a final inventory and sales report to refer to for the next festival.

One of my personal initiatives during my work with WIFF was to research, design, budget, and order a new item of merchandise; a film review journal.

Additionally, I was involved in the launch of the WIFF online shop. My responsibilities included creating captions, photographing, and editing photos.

Merchandise pictured above, excluding the WIFF Journal, was designed by Dave Houle, a WIFF team member specializing in Graphic Design and Layout.
